As we draw closer to the exclusive pre-launch of my upcoming book, Inside the Invisible Box: My Journey from Mars to a Rising Phoenix, I’m excited to share some behind-the-scenes glimpses into the story that has been years in the making. For nearly two decades, fear, marriage, motherhood, work, and self-doubt held me back, conspiring to delay my progress. But after all this time, I’ve finally crafted a revised edition of my work, transforming a small collection of previously published poems into a creative nonfiction narrative—what has become my unintended memoir.

This book reflects the experiences that have shaped me, many of which were shrouded in silence. Growing up, the idea of sharing my personal struggles with anyone, especially a professional, was deeply unsettling. In my community, opening up in this way was often seen as a sign of weakness, a stigma that still lingers for many.

Yet, these experiences needed to be shared. In My Journey from Mars to a Rising Phoenix, I revisit those poems, offering the stories behind them—stories that have defined and redefined who I am today.
